Cabanas – Portugal
Well Portugal has been no drier than Spain this winter. Some sunny days but lots of storm and rain as well.
We managed to get out on the bikes some times, and find some geo-caches. We met up with Alan and Carlo and had a trip on the train to Olhao, where we were met with armed police on the roof tops and around the station. We had paid our fares, honest!! It seems the court building was opposite and they must have had “a very naughty man” in there….
Andy and Jill arrived from Morocco, they seemed to have had a wonderful time and has given us food for thought for next year. It may be warmer there but there does seem to be a problem with people appearing where ever you go asking for things. Will give it some thought over the summer.
We did have some nice days!!!
We went to the beach with Thelma and Stewart and had a paddle!
The highlight of our month was probably two nights in a hotel at Praia Roche in Portamao. Meeting up with Steve and Chris Caffyn. We had a great time being holiday makers for a few days. Eating too much and being lazy. We were even hit by a tornado at 11pm as we left a restaurant, three restaurants on the beach were destroyed and we lucky not to be hit by flying signs. It was a lovely beach and we will go back for a couple of days when we leave here.

Our time is running out now and we are moving up the coast making a slow journey home. More when we have internet connection.
