PS3 Eyepet

I got a PS3 eyepet today.  Following along similar lines to Catz and Dogz from previous PC games, this game provides a suitable cute creature for you to feed, water and play with.  The momentum of technology means that there are some new tricks up the sleeve for the latest generation of consoles.

The feature most videos focus on is the ability to draw something, show to the camera and have your pet recreate the drawing and in some cases ‘bring it to life’.  You can draw a car in any formation you like and have it converted automatically into 3D and drive it around !

As you progress using different features of the game you unlock new toys, outfits and games to play.

Technology wise the cameras still seem a bit poor quality on the screen, the lighting can be a bit fussy as can the position of the camera but the startup wizard tells you when its just right.  The only game that took some lateral thinking was getting a photo of my pet (called Git) asleep.  I couldn’t figure out why he would start nodding off then suddenly wake up.  It turned out to be the sound from the TV, as soon as I put that onto mute he fell asleep and started dreaming – playing video thought bubbles of some of the stuff that had already happened.

Overall fairly good fun, still lots of challenges to unlock.
